HCPSS Staff Summit Mount Wolchul in Gangjin, South Korea

Sean Martin, Principal of Bryant Woods Elementary and I hold the
BWES "No Doubts, No Limits" bag at the summit!

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity of a lifetime to summit a mountain in South Korea. Led by our Korean friend and President of Bliss, Inc., Mr. Jung and four brave HCPSS staff members climbed to the top of Mt. Wolchul in the southern part of South Korea. It was an exhilarating experience for all of us.

According to Wikipedia, Wolchulsan National Park lies in South Jeolla province, South Korea. Designated as a national park in 1988, Wolchulsan National Park is South Korea's smallest park measuring only 41.9 km².

The park takes its name from Wolchulsan, or Mt. Wolchul in Gangjin and Yeongam counties. Its peak, Chonwhangbong, rises 808.7 meters. Also contained in the park are 3 national treasures and a number of local cultural properties.

Here are some pics from our 6 hour adventure on Saturday.

Cooling-off in the falls! So refreshing!
